 PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS

Diamond View (Muskoka) Inc.

Diamond View (Muskoka) Inc. is a Fractional Ownership Resort Development consisting of     fifteen Normerica Post & Beam Cottages located on Nutt Lake across from the ‘Diamond in the Ruff golf course north of Bracebridge.

PEARSON-McCUAIG’s role as Project Manager included overall design coordination of the municipal infrastructure, grading, roadworks, sewage treatment and disposal and water treatment and distribution.  We also coordinated the building permit applications and, as Contract Administrators, performed all necessary construction inspections and processed payment certificates for all trades and consultants involved in the project.

Nottawasaga Inn Resort - Centre Ice Sportsplex

This was PEARSON-McCUAIG’s inaugural project (#06001) and it included the site servicing and SWM analysis and report for the development of the new Centre Ice Sportsplex located at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort.

The approval time for the onsite servicing design and SWM was critical.  Our work commenced in late February and the Sportsplex needed to be operational in September.  The servicing and grading for this project were installed without complication and the first skaters took to the ice on time.

We are currently working on the second phase of this project that will provide a second ice surface adjacent to the first.

Sarjeants, Bradford - Industrial Development

PEARSON-McCUAIG was engaged by The Sarjeant Co. Ltd. to complete a Functional Servicing Report (FSR) for an industrial subdivision on a 8.5 hectare lot fronting the 10th Sideroad north of the 8th Line in Bradford.  The servicing requirements for this development include sanitary, storm, watermain, traffic analysis, stormwater management and associated SWM Pond.

A large amount of fill needs to be removed from the site to facilitate final grading requirements.  The approval for this removal was obtained through applications to the town in the summer of 2006 and PEARSON-McCUAIG has been instrumental in  monitoring the soil removal.

NVCA - Flood Plain Study (Orr Lake & Bass Lake)

The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority (NVCA) engaged PEARSON-McCUAIG to complete a flood plain analysis of the Orr Lake and Bass Lake watersheds.  These large watersheds are 1,561 ha & 4,780 ha for Orr Lake and Bass Lake, respectively.

Due to the size of the watersheds, the OTTHYMO modeling program and NASHYD subroutines were utilized to analyze the flood conditions during the 100 year and    regional flood events.  This

analysis also required detailed survey and analysis of the outfalls draining these watersheds.  The results of these studies were accepted by the NVCA within the allotted timelines and budget.

Town of New Tecumseth - Watermains, various
